HOW IT WORKS

Back it up, flash it, verify it.

01
Intake and identify

Cards are read into the station by serial — the pre-flash state is captured first.

02
Mandatory VBIOS backup

No card is flashed until its existing VBIOS is backed up. This step cannot be skipped.

03
Verified image

The firmware image is pulled from the local NAS and SHA-256 verified. The station never pulls from the internet.

04
Flash and verify

Post-flash state is read back and compared against the intended image.

05
Intake record

Apex software writes a per-card intake record carrying pre and post firmware state.

THE RECORD

Apex generates the record.

On the NFC-H100, the certificate and custody log are produced by Apex software. That makes the record Apex’s product and Apex’s liability, held to the Apex Chain-of-Custody Specification.

WHAT THE RECORD CARRIES
Per-card intake record (pre/post firmware)
Primary identifier: GPU serial — read from the device, never operator-typed
Custody events: intake, process start, process end, verification, disposition
Method, tool and version, result (PASS · FAIL · QUARANTINED) and the accountable operator
WHAT THE RECORD CARRIES
Every asset identified at intake by serial and recorded through to a documented disposition
Method, tool and version, operator, result and timestamp on every record
Written to your own NAS in a structured, exportable format
Built to satisfy the documentation NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 expects
Every Apex-generated record is held to the same specification across the Group A machines. See the full custody model
